Lindsay Browning lives in the Mad River Valley, Vermont with her husband, twin son and daughter, and three dogs. Lindsay currently works as an Attorney.
Lindsay's work reflects an attempt to capture fleeting moments of beauty in the natural world. Vermont's pronounced seasons - Winter, Mud season, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Stick Season - remind us to remain present or risk missing the magic around us. She hopes the images will evoke in viewers the passion to preserve, and connect with, nature.
Photography and nature have been life-long passions for Lindsay. She purchased her first film SLR in high school and began capturing the beauty around her. Although mostly self-taught, Lindsay was privileged to receive instruction from the renowned landscape photographer, Kurt Budliger.
A northeast Georgia native, she grew up in the Appalachian foothills and spent her childhood exploring the woods around her home. Lindsay received a B.A. in Political Science and a Certificate in Environmental Ethics at the University of Georgia. During summers, Lindsay worked as a raft guide on the Cheat River at her father's former outdoor adventure company in West Virginia. She subsequently obtained her J.D. and a Masters of Studies in Environmental Law at Vermont Law School, where she fell in love with Vermont's idyllic landscape. Lindsay is passionate about public service, helping others, and conserving the environment for future generations.
